Every J&M Hut is hand-built in Norfolk by people who genuinely care about the finished product. We don't mass-produce our buildings. Each one receives individual attention, allowing us to maintain the high standards of workmanship we pride ourselves on.

Common Questions
Do I need planning permission?
In many cases, shepherd's huts are considered mobile structures and may not require full planning permission if used for personal enjoyment. However, for commercial glamping or tiny home use ( height dependant ) we recommend consulting your local authority.
How long does the build process take?
Typically, a bespoke build takes between 6 to 10 weeks from the confirmation of your final design. This timeline ensures every joint is perfect and every finish meets our artisanal standards in the workshop.
Can I customize the interior layout?
Absolutely. Every structure we build is bespoke. From the placement of the stove and windows to the configuration of electrics and internal cabinetry, we work closely with you to ensure the space is functional and beautiful.
What materials do you use?
We prioritize sustainable materials. Our huts feature a variety of selected timber , insulation, and hand-forged ironmongery. We focus on durability to ensure your hut withstands any elements for generations.
